STEP 6 - Dry brush armor plates with Skink Blue. STEP 7 - Dry brush extreme edges with Tyrant Skull STEP 8 - Create a wash with Steel Legion Drab, 10:1 thinner medium to paint. Wash armor plates with thin layer of mixture. STEP 9 - Glaze all armor plates in Lamenters Yellow. 6:1 water to glaze. Decrease the ratio of water to glaze to make the plates appear more green than blue. I really appreciate this article as I have been trying to figure out nihilakh vehicle schemes. My skink blue has gone bad and I want to avoid citadel dry paints is there an alternative you would recommend that would get a similar result?

It's no really necessary to use dry paints to drybrush. For example, I used regular Wild Rider Red to drybrush my Bloodthirster and it came out fantastic.

Late to the party! Scheme looks great thanks for the ideas! I'm going to highlight up the blue with temple guard blue and baharoth blue, gonna try keep a really crisp clean version of this :)
